Justin Parsons – Director of Instruction

From Killinchy in Northern Ireland, Justin began playing golf at 14 and quickly found himself hooked on the game. Playing off scratch at sixteen and having representative inter-provincial honors at Boys and Youths level, he made the decision to turn professional at Knock Golf Club in Belfast after a short spell at college in USA. A qualified PGA Professional at 23, Justin played on the Mastercard Tour full time for two years before moving to Blackwood Golf Centre where he honed his teaching skills at one of Ireland’s busiest golf facilities.
He moved to Dubai in 2004 and began working as an instructor at the academy at The Montgomerie under the watchful eye of Wayne Johnson. Justin rose quickly to the position of Director of Instruction and joined Claude Harmon III at the pre-opening phase of The Butch Harmon School of Golf.
Since Claude’s departure in 2011, Justin has run the school as Director of Instruction for Claude and Butch. Justin has seen success, coaching Michael Hoey to a win on the European Tour this season and has worked closely with many leading players on the PGA, ET and Asian Tours. Since inception, the golf school has had much success and adulation, Justin has maintained his career development, attaining his Titleist Performance Institute Level 3 Golf Professional Certification and Level 2 Junior Coach. A specialist in 3D analysis and functional movement screening, Justin aims to build lesson programs and practice programs to help all levels of players improve.
John Howells - Senior Instructor

John Howells – Senior Instructor

John is from Porthcawl in South Wales, and took up golf at 15 after international honors in competitive swimming. Playing off 3 by age 18, he enrolled on the PGA joint partnership degree programme at University of Birmingham. In 2009, aged 20 he graduated with a 1st class honors degree in Applied Golf Management focusing his thesis on kinematic sequencing and the effects of strength & conditioning.
John became a fully qualified PGA professional in 2010 and continued to further develop his knowledge and passion for coaching. He has worked at Royal Porthcawl golf club, before moving in 2010 to Tenby golf club to launch the new West Coast Academy. His commitment to learning allowed him the chance of an internship in Austin, Texas with Harmon family friend and coach, Ryan Crysler.
John moved to the Middle East in September 2011 to coach at the Royal Golf Club, Bahrain, where he launched their new fit for golf coaching programmes and TPI inspired junior programme. John aspires to improve the already excellent BHSG team and brings with him a wealth of knowledge learnt from other experts Jamie Donaldson (AimPoint green reading), Ramsay McMaster (postural awareness) and Dr Greg Rose (TPI certification).

Jamie McConnell – Teaching Professional

Jamie McConnell, from Co Meath, Ireland grew up playing competitive golf from an early age. After spending some years playing Jamie turned his focus to the coaching side of golf and always had an interest in helping people improve and enjoy golf.
Jamie quickly became a well-respected teaching professional in Ireland and over a 5 year period was head professional at Navan Golf club and New forest Golf Club before moving to Spain in 2012. Here Jamie continued to develop his knowledge and coaching skills while working with players of various levels including players from young elite amateurs up to Ladies European tour players. He is currently classed as an AA PGA professional, TPI Level 1 professional and Irelands first Trackman Master certified professional.
Jamie has joined the team at Sports City as a Teaching Professional at the Butch Harmon School of Golf.
Joe Marshall - Teaching Professional

Joe Marshall – Teaching Professional

Joe is from the famous Bronte Sisters' village of Haworth in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. His sporting background includes football, swimming, cricket and athletics, with golf taking precedents from the age of 15. He began studying Sport Psychology and Sport Science at Glamorgan University in Wales before deciding to transfer to the Professional Golf Degree with the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland and the University of Birmingham. He is currently a class AA PGA Professional.
Joe turned Professional in 2007 and became a qualified PGA Professional in May 2010. His first 2 years as a Golf professional were spent at Branshaw Golf Club, near to Haworth, where his passion for teaching golf began. In the spring of 2010 he was appointed as a Golf Coach for The Jason Floyd Golf Academies in Madrid and Sotogrande. In August 2011, Joe began his position as PGA Teaching Professional at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club and was promoted to Head PGA Teaching Professional in 2013.
Joe is a Titleist Performance Institue (TPI) Certified Professional at Junior Level 3, Power Level 2 and Golf Mechanics Level 2. He also completed the Dr. Kwon Level 1 certification in Biomechanics.

Natalie Goodall - Assistant Teaching Professional

Natalie Goodall – Assistant Teaching Professional

Born and raised in Scotland until the age of 12, Natalie found a passion for golf at an early age. Her love for the game carried on through out her high school years where she was lucky enough play for her school in competitions overseas in countries where she lived Malaysia, Bahrain, and Thai-land.
Graduating with a BTEC in 2013, Natalie studied and played at the Darren Clarke Golf School in Northern Ireland where she grew her knowledge not just in the playing side but also the business outlook on the sport. During her time at DCGS, she did numerous internships at the Butch Harmon School Of Golf, where she helped with their junior programme while shadowing the Director of Instruction, Justin Parsons.
Natalie has now since joined us in September 2013, and has now enrolled into the PGA Foundation Degree through the University of Birmingham.
As an Assistant here, her passion for teaching juniors and also beginner ladies has grown in the last few years and will continue to do so.

Allister Parlane - Fitness Professional

Allister Parlane – Fitness Professional

Originally from Scotland, Allister has always been a keen golfer, currently playing of a handicap of scratch and holds the title of reigning club champion at his home club of Helensburgh Scotland. After completing his degree at The University of Stirling Allister turned his hand towards working full time in the golf fitness industry.
His pursuit in understanding how a functional body improves golf performance led him to the Titleist Performance Institute where he has achieved his Level 1 and 2 Certifications. In 2012 Allister joined the team at the Jason Floyd Golf Academy in Marbella Spain where he began working with Elite junior golfers in a year round long term athletic development program
Upon his return to Scotland Allister began working with a variety of golfers including several European and ladies European touring professionals. Allister hopes to continue helping golfers achieve a better performance on the golf course as he joins us at the Butch Harmon School of Golf
Allister has joined the team at Sports City as a Fitness Professional at the Butch Harmon School of Golf.
